• Is it possible to have a titanium wedding band resized at your store?

  Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, we are not able to size titanium bands. I would recommend reaching out to the place the band was purchased. They should be able to advise you regarding the best option. Please let us know if we can help in the future.

• Do you change watch batteries?

  While there are some watches we can do on-the-spot, in most cases we prefer to let our watch repairman handle them to ensure the best possible service. The price of a watch battery is $19.62 ($18+tax), and the turn-around time is approximately 2 weeks. If your watch is worn in the water we may recommend your watch be sealed and pressure tested to ensure it is still waterproof once the battery has been changed. This can only be done by our watch repairman and there is an additional charge. 

   

• My watch stopped keeping time, do you have someone who can fix it?

  We have a watch repairman who works at our North Charleston store. You are welcome to drop your watch by any of our stores and we will provide a licensed and insured courier to get your watch to him. After examining the watch, we will let you know an estimate to repair and will only perform the repair once you approve the charges. 

• Do you do engraving?

  We can engrave pieces as long as they were purchased from Polly's. The turn-around time is usually 7-10 days, but we're glad to try and accommodate if you need something sooner. We're hoping to expand our engraving capabilities in the future, but at the moment we're not able to do pieces that were purchased elsewhere.

• Do you do appraisals?

  Yes! You can either set up an appointment with our appraiser, or you can drop the piece off at any of our locations for her to look at. The turn-around time for drop-offs is approx. 1 week. If you'd like to set up an appointment, please contact us. The cost is $95 for the first piece and $75 for each additional piece. If the item was purchased from Polly's within the past year we will provide a complimentary appraisal. If an extended period of time has passed the item must be brought in for us to examine before providing you with the appraisal. 

• I recently got engaged and my ring is a little too large. I was wanting to see if you resize rings, how much this would cost, and see how fast I would be able to get it in and back.

  First off congratulations! We'd be glad to help with sizing your ring. We have great jewelers with full-service repair shops at all three locations. Sizing starts at $45 for white gold rings, $55 for yellow gold, and $70 for platinum. The exact price depends on how wide the band is, how many stones are set in the ring, and how much it needs to be sized, but in most cases doesn't exceed $100. Our official turn-around time is approximately 10 days, but our shops generally run ahead of schedule, and we're glad to try and accommodate if you need something sooner. Feel free to stop by any of our locations, and we're glad to look at it with you and confirm an exact price before any work is done. If the ring was purchased at Polly's there is no charge.
